Education: Oklahoma State University, M.S. Civil
Engineering, B.S. Civil Engineering
Mr. Poynter is a Professional Engineer registered in
Oklahoma and holds both a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science Degree
in Civil/Structural Engineering from Oklahoma State
University. Mr. Poynter was employed by the
Structural Engineering Department at OSU for 6 years
where he assisted others with structural research
projects and conducted a research project to
determine the fatigue capacity of steel bridge
girders with special details.
While employed by the Bridge Division of the
Oklahoma Department of Transportation, he
rose to the most senior structural engineering
position in the Bridge Division. He is thoroughly
familiar with Oklahoma Department of Transportation specifications and will review
any design to ensure its conformity to
specifications.
